What Type Should I Get? – We offer 2 types of Bell Glides for Ikea office chairs: Low-profile/felt-bottom & high-profile/PU-bottom. The low-profile glides feel more similar in height and weight to the original caster wheels. The high-profile glides are a bit taller than caster wheels and feel more sturdy and heavier. A noticeable difference is that when you lean back on your chair, the high-profile glides keep your chair’s wheel base planted on the floor. The low-profile glides lift up a little, the same way that your current wheels do. They are both fairly non-slip even on hardwood floors but the PU-bottom ones grip more firmly. I personally prefer the felt-bottom glides because they feel more like the factory caster wheels but that’s just my opinion; they are both great.
